History

The team Yakhnich Motorsport was established in 2007. At that time in the team were two female riders Nadezda Yakhnich and Nataliya Lyubimova. In their first racing season they won main prizes in the Russian Road Racing Championship taken the first and the second places. Also Yakhnich Motorsport riders took active part in the European championship and the Italian women Championship.

In the season 2011 the team was reinforced by two male riders. Vladimir Leonov – professional rider who took part in Moto2 and STOCK600. Sergey Vlasov won the Russian Cup in 2010 in the class Stock600. In 2011 both riders presented the team in stongest European championships – CIV and Trofeo R6 Cup. In the end Leonov took the third place in CIV and was in TOP-10 on the last stage of the World Superbike championship in the Supersport class.

In 2012 the team decided to enter the Eni FIM Superbike World Championship. Vladimir Leonov took two podiums, one – in Assen and the second – in Moscow Raceway during the first Russian stage of the World Superbike Championship.

In 2013 the team signed the contract with bronze winner of the World Superbike Championship of the season 2012 – Sam Lowes. During 13 stages Sam Lowes won 9 pole-positions, 6 first places and 5 second. He became the champion in the Supersport class in 2013. Vladimir Leonov took the 10 the place in the Championship.
